Jeter and Ginger sounded the alert! The Municipal street graders arrived to clear the cul de sac and perform their hypnotic mechanical ballet. This equipment is HUGE and quite frankly they scare me. I am always amazed how these huge vehicles manage to navigate tight spaces. They put the snow into a big pile in which the neighborhood kids create forts. In a few weeks more equipment will arrive and dismantle the forts and we begin again.
Our boy Toby is doing just fine. Mr. O and I believe he just gave himself a big jolt when he ran through the doggie door. He is acting like his usual enthusiastic self but he is going to our regular vet on January 16 to have a recheck just to be sure.

Mechanical snow ballet . How cool ! Toby will be out there before you know it.
Glad Toby is still doing well! That experience will no doubt be one of those "live and learn" experiences - I bet he doesn't go charging through like that again! Thanks for the info about the video and slideshow making program. I have Picasa, but have never done anything with it. It got installed somehow, at some point... I know, because it comes up unbidden sometimes when I am working with my photos. I'll have to take a closer look. I usually use Photo Elements 5.0 (an antique version, now they're up to 10.0). For all I know it does slideshows and videos too, but as with most technological devices and software programs I own, I use approximately 25% of the features. I need to actually take the time to sit down and figure this stuff out!
Indeed. Toby no longer charges out the doggie door no matter how insistent the neighbor labs, Chelsey and Roma, may summon!
glad to hear toby is doing well!
So glad Toby is doing well. He probably scared you more than he scared himself.
It was big a$$ snowplows? Your term sounds so much classier! haha! I was so sure it was Mr. O tormenting the dogs with a bone! heehee
Hello Ina and Toby and welcome to 2012, can you believe it wow! We are just getting over some pretty cold days here in Pennsylvania, but it will be getting a little warmer and is supposed to get in the low 50s for this weekend. Can you say double wow! Richard
I have seen that kind of equipment in some pretty narrow tight places around here. And you're right, it is scary. But they do manage to manuever their way around. Love how you described it as a hypnotic mechanical ballet. It looks like one, doesn't it? Very poetic. GLAD Toby is doing much better and that there doesn't appear to be permanent damage. I hope he approaches that doggie door very carefully in the future. GREAT video. Take care.
Glad Toby is doing better! Wow what a show outside your house....and a lot of snow!! Jealous if it's going to be bitter cold lets have some snow....only on the days Katelyn doesn't work!
You go Toby! Glad you are feeling better. That is one cool presentation

Smart dog, Toby, for learning a lesson and not hurting yourself again.
It is amazing that the huge heavy equipment can be maneuvered in tight spaces. Sounds like fun for the kids though to have the snow piled high for them.
What do you know. A boy's dream of a merry-go-round!
Awwww, Toby! You'll be back to romping with the crew in no time. That's great news that you're feeling better.
Yeah for Toby!! xo
We are so happy for Toby! yippeeeeeeeeeee
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Those heavy equipment drivers get to the point where the buckets are like an extension of their arms. We know a back hoe guy who can take a little stick right out of your hand with the grabber thing.
It sure is dark in Alaska.

P.S. Great news on Toby. Maybe he needs a speed trap setup near that doggie door.
Whoa! That give a whole new meaning to "snowplow".
So glad Toby is feeling good.
And I love, love, love the carnival sign. If I'd seen it I might have had to bring it home with me :-)
Happy New Year, jj
So happy Toby is doing better. I have to ask were any of the license plates yours or Mr O's? Loved them all! Brrr doesn't even qualify as to how all that snow makes me feel, but it looks pretty in the lights.
Hugs~
None of the license plates are mine or Mr. O's
