To date over 81 inches of snow has fallen in Anchorage. According to the forecast, another storm system is about to deliver more snow for both Anchorage and hard-hit Cordova Alaska.
HERE is the link for Alaskan news coverage about the tremendous amount of snowfall in Cordova (149 miles away from ANC) and efforts to help the people there dig out. I heard the City of Cordova was MELTING the snow in order to prepare for more snow!
Mr. O suggested I post some pictures from the front of our house to show the ever increasing snow piles.
Here are wonderful icicles hanging from our garage. It was 6 degrees when I took the picture.
And now the front! Our snowplower is very busy! He pushes all the snow up onto the front lawn. That snowpile is getting really tall.

Our dogs enjoy lighted pathways.
I have spent a lot of quality time with this shovel
Halle peeking between the snow mountains
No racing through that door Toby!!!!
Been super busy lately! Still catching up from my trip to NJ in December. Then when I got back to AK our office was in the midst of being repainted and new carpeting installed. The new carpet is very cozy! During the freshening up our space was a complete mess and although the work crew was very professional and pleasant, it was hard to work amidst the chaos. Things have settled down thankfully!

I love coming over here!!! There's always something interesting going on!! I had a friend who lived in Wasilla...and Anchorage...but he moved to Michigan last year, so I miss seeing all of those gorgeous landscape pics!! So happy that you are posting SNOW pics! Here in Upstate NY we normally get tons and tons of snow...but not this year. It is actually DRY out there. So strange. I love your header picture Ina and Halle and Toby are just little loves!!! Happy Shoveling!!
My oh my ! You've had 81 inches. How much has Cordova had for you to call it hard hit ?

Angus, Cordova has had over 10 feet of snowfall in the past few weeks. There is a link in the post to the news story.
These are great pictures, Ina. You have lots going on lately. But you sound happy. Your new year is going well so far. Even the snow isn't getting you down, you just keep shoveling.
Hi Ina, Wow that is alot of snow! I tend to complain if I have to shovel 8-10" of the white stuff. Of course if it is dry it is definitely easier-don't know whether your snow is wet or dry. Glad your dogs still get out; my hubby shovels a part of the grass just for our Reggie. I'm enjoying spring warmth but we are supposed to get a storm tomorrow. Hope you are staying in and staying warm.
Hugs, Noreen
We saw on the news about Cordova. I was wondering where you lived in comparison to it? I don't know how you deal with all that snow. One storm a year is plenty for me! We are expecting a dusting later in the week. Hopefully the snow will be melted by summer so you can come visit me! =)
Ooooooh! Wow so much snow I love your photos. :)
Oh. My. DOGNESS! I can't BELIEVES all that snow! My mom said she heard on the news today abouts the people in Cordova. That much snow sounds kinda skeery. I hope you all stay safe AND warm!
