Slow and Steady - and a Brussels Sprout Salad Recipe!

I am still as relaxed as I appear to be in my header picture. And I am also moving s l o w l y while getting back into the swing of things back home in ANC.
As I left the beach and headed back to the hotel I spotted these 3 regal dogs. They are fabulous and they know it!
In the afternoon, Elizabeth and I wandered over to the shops at Santa Monica Place and did some damage. We stopped at Pizza Antica for a glass of wine (or 2) and a bite to eat. I had a lovely California chardonnay and watched people pass by in the sunshine.
At Pizza Antica I had THE BEST warm Brussels Sprout salad I have ever tasted. It contained crisp bacon, homemade croutons and hard cooked eggs. It could be a light meal all by itself.

HERE is the recipe from the Pizza Antica web site (you have to scroll down the page). Bon Appetit!

So when you get to missing that Cali sun you can open up your blog and...viola! Smart thinking girl! Those dogs do look like they are full of themselves, lol! I'm not a brussels sprout eater but its been a lonnnggg while since last I tried so perhaps I'll give that recipe a whirl! (Could it have been the glass or two of wine that helped make it marvelous?).

Hugs~

I love the picture of the three white dogs. They look so well behaved!

I can see the purple highlights near your wine glass! :)

The Brussels sprout salad sounds similar to a broccoli salad I make.

Love the photos of your nice laid back visit to the coast. Looks so relaxing. Those pups were fabulous. Never had brussel sprout in my life. Might try them, after viewing the recipe and hearing your endorsement. It must be so-oo nice to be back home with your family. But is it hard to readjust to the snow and cold? Take care.

I can't seem to find joy in a brussel sprout but I sure can in visiting California. Glad that you made it home safely. Were the babies happy to see you and Mr. O?
